The 9th Fleet (Japanese: 第9艦隊) was a unit of the Free Planets Alliance navy that was formed sometime prior to 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE). That year, it was under the command of Vice Admiral al-Salem during the Alliance invasion of the Galactic Empire. It fought at the Battle of Alviss against the fleet of Wolfgang Mittermeyer and suffered over 50% casualties. (LOGH: 'Invasion of the Imperial Territory')
