A star (Japanese: 恒星), also called a sun, is an astronomical phenomenon consisting of a dense mass of brightly burning plasma. These bodies are typically long-lived and have sufficient gravitational pull to have, in some cases, formed planets. The region of space surrounding a star, including its planetary system if it has one, is called a starzone.
