Synopsis
Oskar von Reuenthal is arrested by the Imperial military police under the charge of plotting against Reinhard von Lohengramm. It is revealed that Heydrich Lang, the chief of the Internal Security Department, had initiated the investigation. Reuenthal is accused of harbouring a woman from the exiled Lichtenlade clan. Paul von Oberstein is suspicious of Lang's intentions but allowed him to investigate anyway. It is revealed that the woman is pregnant with Reuenthal's child. Reuenthal is granted a hearing from Reinhard that very afternoon. Reinhard and Reuenthal reminisce on the past. Reuenthal's staff officers direct their hatred toward Oberstein.
