Synopsis
In Odin, Reinhard von Lohengramm reviews the secret history of the past emperors of the Goldenbaum Dynasty. In Heinessen, Yang Wen-li is enjoying his private life. Helmut Lennenkampf is uneasy with Yang's quiet life, and increases surveillance on him. Frederica Greenhill Yang decides to learn how to cook better for Yang and consults Hortense Cazerne for advice. During this period, the Cazernes devise a method to trade information with the Yangs while avoiding Imperial surveillance by hiding paper slips within the food.

Background information
- The interim report on the history of the Goldenbaum Dynasty compiled by Professor Seeferd et al. and read by Reinhard is a reference to the Imperial Chinese practice of a new dynasty commissioning the compilation of an official history of the previous dynasty based on the latter's official court records and other archival materials.
