Cosmic Mosaic (Japanese: コズミック・モザイク) is the 103rd episode of the Legend of Galactic Heroes OVA.

Synopsis

Grand Duchess Annerose von Grünewald visits Hildegard von Lohengramm and the sickly Reinhard von Lohengramm. Although Reinhard's expedition was cancelled, the problems of the Heinessen insurgency and the Iserlohn Republic remained. Paul von Oberstein is chosen to handle those problems. Oberstein, accompanied by Neidhart Müller and Fritz Joseph Bittenfeld, departs for Heinessen to settle the insurgency. News of the Iserlohn Republic's victory in the Eleventh Battle of Iserlohn bypasses Imperial news censors, revitalising the anti-Imperial protests in Heinessen. In Iserlohn Fortress, Julian Mintz and his staff wonder what to do if the New Galactic Empire was to abandon Heinessen and use it as a bait. Upon arrival in Heinessen, Oberstein orders the arrest of all former high ranking public officials and military personnel in the Free Planets Alliance. Oberstein infuriates Müller, Bittenfeld, and August Samuel Wahlen with his plan of using the arrested people as hostages to draw out the forces in Iserlohn.
